Eleanor V. Massa (nee Sullivan) entered into eternal life on May 1, 2020. Eleanor was born on December 21, 1940 to John and Ellen Sullivan of Ireland. She was raised in the Highbridge section of the Bronx. Eleanor graduated from Thorpe Secretarial HS in Manhattan. After graduating high school, Eleanor worked at Railway Express where she made many life long friends.
On September 2, 1967 she married her loving husband, Salvatore. They had been friends as teens in the Bronx. They moved to Rockland and raised three children there.
Later on, Eleanor returned to work for the US Postal Service in Rockland and Westchester.

Eleanor will be deeply missed by her husband, Salvatore and her three children Peter, Cathy Henry (Marty) and Brian (Cherith). She was an adored Nana to Mary Kate, Kristen and Matthew Henry. They were the light of her life. She will be dearly missed by her sister and brother-in-law Maureen and Tim Hegarty and sister-in-law and brother- in-law Doris and Joe Cioffi. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Eleanor was a member of the Tappan Seniors where she made many close friends.

A Memorial Mass for Eleanor will be scheduled in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Eleanor’s favorite charity - St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (
