George Kessaris, a Rockland resident since 1964, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. George was born on December 29, 1930 in Brooklyn to Gus and Connie (Papas) Kessaris. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 68 years, Corinne, who passed away in 2016. He served honorably in the US Army as a morse code instructor during the Korean War. George enjoyed his 30 year career as a technician for 3M Corp before retiring. George and Corrine loved traveling. He was a rabid UConn Huskie Women’s Basketball fan and avid poker player. In his later years, he enjoyed spending time with his loving family. George is survived by his children, Dean (Roselle) of Brookville, MD, Nikki Mulholland of Blauvelt, NY, Greg (Patricia) of New City, NY; grandchildren, Dominick, Dina, Ryan, Melissa, Jamie, Luke, William and great-grandsons Jai and Walker. He is also survived by his brother Harland Kessaris of Kerhonkson, NY; and many nieces, nephews and friends of his extended family. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, 10am at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in West Nyack with burial to follow at Tappan Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday, 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels (
