Vignola, Thomas

Nanuet, NY - Tappan Location

Thomas J. Vignola, 74, of Nanuet, NY passed away on October 2, 2021.  Beloved spouse of 49 years to Angela Vignola, devoted father to Jena, Laura, Michael and Saisha Vignola, proud and loving grandfather to Gianni Vignola.  He is survived by his sister Rose Addesso, brother Frank (and Janet) Vignola, his nephews and friends.  Tommy was born in the Bronx, NY, to Dominick and Lucy (Spina) Vignola (both deceased) and moved to Rockland in 1979.  He had retired after 40 years from his construction company Bandow Inc, NYC.  He was an avid muscle and classic car enthusiast with a collection of vintage vehicles.  His originally owned 1965 Pontiac GTO was his prized possession, which was featured in Hemmings magazine.  He was a family man with a great sense of humor who loved to play cards, have family gatherings, greatly enjoyed his oldies music, reminisce on home movies, attend classic car shows and drag races, watch his favorite tv shows and laugh about the good old days.  He had an affection for animals, especially his family pets.  He was supportive of the police and our veterans, with respect for the flag and our country.  He was a strong protector, a selfless provider and a loyal friend.  He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.  May he rest in peace. Visiting hours will be Friday, Oct. 8th from 4 to 8pm at Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan, NY.  Burial on Sat., Oct. 9th at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill, NY at 11:30am.
