Vincent J. Bisogno, 95, of Cresskill, NJ passed away on Saturday September 11, 2021 in his home. 

A resident of Cresskill, NJ since 1956, Vincent was born in New York City on August 11, 1926.  He was the first son of Antoinetta and Alfonso Bisogno. Husband of the late Georgette (Von Glahn) Bisogno, Vincent was the devoted father of Susan Stambaugh, Donna Kanze and her husband Bill, Jamey Bisogno Archer and her husband Roy, Vincent Bisogno and his wife Susan, Julie Pulis and her husband Jerryl.  Cherished grandfather of Jason Stambaugh and his wife Sara, Todd Stambaugh and his wife Nina, Billy Kanze and his wife Nikki, Chelsea Kanze, Ryan Archer, Matthew Pulis, and Kenneth Pulis.  Loving great-grandfather of Taylor Stambaugh, Jamie Stambaugh, and Riley Kanze.

Vincent was a World War II veteran having served in Japan.  He was a hard-working truck driver who spent most of his career working for St. Johnsbury Trucking Company.  He was also ex-chief of the Cresskill Volunteer Fire Department where he was a member for nearly 60 years.  One of his proudest achievements was starting the Junior Firefighter program.  “Vinnie” also enjoyed sports. He loved bowling, fishing, and playing horseshoes and bean bags.  All who knew him knew how competitive he was.  He also enjoyed watching the Yankees.

The family will receive their relatives and friends at Moritz Funeral Home, 348 Closter Dock Road, Closter, NJ on Friday September 17, 2021 from 4-8pm.  Funeral service will be at Moritz Funeral Home on Saturday September 18th, 10am followed by burial at Westwood Cemetery, 23 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vincent’s memory may be made to any US Veterans Organization or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
