Warren J. Allen, age 90, of Orangeburg, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, September 3rd after a long illness, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Warren grew up in Bronx, NY and after marriage moved to Orangeburg, NY where he resided for 62 years. He and his wife Joan also resided in Boca Raton, FL after retirement.

He served in the US Navy from 1952-1954 and in the Naval Reserves until 1959. Warren married Joan Bradley from the Vinegar Hill section of Manhattan in 1955, and celebrated 66 years of marriage this past June. He joined Local 46 Wire Lathers in 1956 in New York City, until retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a loyal NY Giants fan. Warren loved people, was a great talker, had a great sense of humor and was telling jokes until the very end. He was dedicated to his family and loved nothing more than spending time with them.

Warren was predeceased by his mother, Lillian Allen and father Milton David Allen. He is survived by a loving family, devoted and loving wife Joan Allen, his children, Joseph Allen (Michelle), Diane Allen-Smith (Bruce), Warren E. Allen, Mary Allen and his brother, Kenneth Allen (Chris). His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy, Keith Allen, Alannah Allen Gairdner (Mitchell), Brett Allen, Colleen Allen, Craig Allen, Brent Allen and great grandchildren Kai and Indi Gairdner.

Visiting hours to be held on Tuesday, September 7th, 4-8pm at Moritz Funeral Home, 98 Route 303 South, Tappan, NY. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, September 8th, 10am at St. Catharine’s Church, 523 Western Highway, Blauvelt, NY. Burial to follow at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, 36 West Nyack Road, Nanuet, NY.
