It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Abbey Watters of Westwood, NJ, formally of Oyster Bay, NY, on Monday, April 7, 2025.  Beloved wife of Matthew and the loving mother of Thomas (Jeanette). Cherished grandmother of Matthew, Kaitlyn, and Emily Watters. Dear sister to Nancy Lucey, Mary Randles, Bridie Mahon, Jim, Tom and Den Flynn.  Born in Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry, Ireland in 1932, she immigrated to the US in 1952.

She was a woman of deep faith and was an active member of her local church. She spent countless hours volunteering at her local Food Pantries, loved tai chi, going for walks everyday and was always willing to lend a hand or support to a friend or loved one when needed.  Her caring heart and generosity touched countless lives, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever be remembered.  She was the epitome of selflessness.

But what brought Abbey tremendous joy, was being around her grandchildren.  She lived her life with only one goal in mind - making sure her family was safe and happy.  She is so dearly missed.

Visiting will be at the Moritz Funeral Home 348 Closter Dock Road, Closter NJ on Friday, April 2-4 p.m. and 6:30-9 p.m.  Funeral Mass Saturday 11 a.m. at Church of St. Mary in Closter.  Interment will be at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale at a later date.  For further information www.moritzfh.com
