Blauvelt, NY - Tappan Location

Anthony J. Cicalo Sr of Orangeburg, NY passed away on February 11, 2022, at the age of 91. Anthony was born on June 3, 1930 in NYC to Giuseppe and Antoinette Cicalo. He was a proud US Marine and served during the Korean war as an airplane repair specialist. After his service to his country, Anthony returned to NYC and married the love of his life Noemi. Together Anthony and Noemi shared 66 wonderful years. Anthony founded Fort-Cica Roofing in 1954 and successfully lead the company until his retirement at the age of 66. Anthony loved traveling the world with his wife Noemi and their many friends. His hobbies included creating an amazing model train village and working in the garden. He was a very active member in The Order of Sons of Italy in America for over 40 years and participated in many charitable endeavors.

Anthony is survived by his wife Noemi, four children, Anna Cicalo, Anthony (Laurie) Cicalo, Stephen Cicalo, John Cicalo; seven grandchildren, Nicole (Larry) Decaro, Sara (Javeria) Cicalo, Anthony (Katy) Cicalo, Vincent (Ashley) Cicalo, Julia Cicalo, Cara Cicalo, Christopher Cicalo; and three great grandchildren Luca, Antonina and Nicholas Decaro.

Anthony will long be remembered as the beloved patriarch of his family. He was a stand-up guy with a great sense of humor and a huge heart. His outgoing personality, generous nature, and unique original stories and jokes will never be forgotten.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Feb. 15th, 10am at St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt with entombment to follow at Ascension Cemetery in Airmont. Visiting hours will be Monday Feb. 14th, 4-8pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan.
