Obituary

Barbara Kinkel, 80, a resident of Pearl River, NY, passed away on May 11th, 2023 with her family at her side. She was born on October 04, 1942 to Andrew and Jane Kuneac in the Bronx. Barbara loved her life in Rockland County and was a member of the Orangeburg Seniors and a parishioner of St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt since 1981. Before retiring, she worked at Champion International Paper Company (the former St. Regis Paper Company) in West Nyack, NY for over twenty years. She and her husband Walter, who were married for 59 years, loved dancing to the oldies and traveling - especially to Ireland.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents and her husband Walter who recently passed away on March 16, 2023 after a brief illness.

She is survived by her cousins, including Lorraine and Thomas. She will be dearly missed by her family as well as her and Walter's many close friends especially their devoted friends and neighbors the Lavery family.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 16th, 10am at St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt with burial to follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx. Visiting hours will be Monday, May 15th, 2-7pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan.
