Bernard (Bernie) J. Fee was born January 16, 1951 and grew up on Manhattan's Upper Westside. He attended Holy Name School then went on to graduate from Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx. After serving in the US Navy, he returned to New York and worked for several years at the Equitable Insurance Co. In later years he also worked at the Bronx Health Plan and finally the 4A's (American Association of Advertising Agencies). He retired in 2014 and he and his wife, Annie, began to enjoy a life of travel and leisure.
In November of 2016, Bernie was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. The next six years were a series of surgeries, chemo, radiation and immunotherapy. Through it all he remained a warrior determined "To beat this thing." He finally succumbed to his illness on July 24, 2022 at White Plains Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Daymont; step-son Tommy Jordan (Christine); grandchildren Caitlin, Patrick and Dylan; brother Dennis Fee; nieces Melissa (Andrew), Meghan (Chris), Ashley (Brian), Maggie (Chris) and Colleen (Tommy); nephew Justin; four grand nieces and three grand nephews; and countless cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, August 9th, 11am at St. Catharines's Church in Blauvelt, NY. Visiting hours will be Monday, August 8th, 4-7pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the American Cancer Society in his name ( https://cancer.org ).
The Funeral Mass on August 9th, 11am may be Live-streamed directly from St. Catharine's Church.
