Bruna Meladossi, long-time resident of Sparkill, NY, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2023 at the impressive age of 98. She is predeceased by her husband Benedetto Meladossi and brother Mario Coradini. Bruna is survived by her son Franco Meladossi, daughter-in-law Katherine Meladossi, and daughter Giuliana Scarpelli as well as grandchildren Jason, Bobby, Matthew, Kristina, Francesca, and Danny. In her later years, Bruna also enjoyed endless amusement provided by her eight great grandchildren, Luke, Maddox, Gina, Sophia, Emily, Nicholas, Apollonia, and Nolan.

Born in 1924 and raised in what was then Capodistria, Istria (now Slovenia), Bruna emigrated to New York City with husband and child in 1956.

She will be forever remembered for her sense of humor, her resilient spirit, her skillful hand as a sketch artist and seamstress as well as her delicious home cooking which fueled many loving family moments.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, Jan. 13th, 11:30am at St. John the Baptist Church, 895 Piermont Ave. in Piermont. Visiting hours will be Thursday, 4-8pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan.
