Camille DiSclafani

Camille DiSclafani, 77, of Demarest, New Jersey, passed away on August 14, 2026.

Born on July 15, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York, Camille was the daughter of Joseph DiSclafani and Filomena DiSclafani.

Camille had a remarkable ability to connect with people. She was genuinely curious about others and invested deeply in the people who came into her life. She celebrated their successes, felt their losses, and made people feel cared for and welcome. To Camille, family extended far beyond blood, and once someone became part of her family, they stayed that way. She was beloved by people from all walks of life, many of whom became part of the wide circle of friends and family she built around her.

She loved to travel, eat, dance, entertain, and spend time with the people she loved. She will be remembered for her extraordinary generosity and hospitality, her curiosity about the world and the people in it, and the joy she found in bringing people together.

Nothing brought Camille greater happiness than her grandchildren, Jack, Luke, and Ali. She treasured being their grandmother and the time she spent with them, and the love she gave them will remain an important part of her legacy.

Camille is survived by her mother, Filomena DiSclafani; her son, Alex Ciociola; her daughter-in-law, Kerry Ciociola; her beloved grandchildren, Jack, Luke, and Ali; and her siblings, Anne Ciccotelli, Cathy Cawley, and Sal DiSclafani. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph DiSclafani.

Camille leaves behind a family that is larger than any family tree could capture and countless people whose lives were better for having known her. Those who loved her will raise a glass of wine in her memory and remember a woman who knew how to enjoy life and, more importantly, how to share that joy with others.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Moritz Funeral Home in Closter, New Jersey, with a funeral service 11:00 a.m. at Church of St. Mary to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Camille’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
