Carol C. Crane was born in Brooklyn, NY to Ross and Rose Hardman. Carol moved to the Bronx and attended Aquinas High School and then attended secretarial school. After completing school, Carol went to work for Clevite Corp and was an active member of St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt, New York.

Carol had many talents, including sewing, interior design, cooking, and ceramics. Carol also served as an avid volunteer for the North Carolina Food Bank and church's thrift store.

Carol survived by her loving husband Robert; her 5 children and 7 grandchildren.
