With heavy hearts and profound admiration, the family of Christina Katharina Bourmatnov announces her passing on January 21, 2024 in Tappan, New York. Christina, 85, was born to Alois and Katharina Siebl on January 20, 1939 in Munich, Germany. After spending her early childhood immersed in World War II Germany, Christina was instilled with a tenacity, faith, and resilience that would set her up for a lifetime of accomplishments. At age 21, Christina immigrated to the United States and in 1965 married husband Paul Bourmatnov. Christina was the beloved mother of Paul (Laura) Bourmatnov Jr. and Elizabeth Bourmatnov, as well as the adored "Oma" of seven grandchildren, Amy, Chelsea and Elise Bourmatnov; Claudia, Isabelle, and Tristian Zaccaro and Cassandra Bourmatnov.

Christina worked as an administrative support staff at Harcourt Publishing, Chemical Bank, the Federal Reserve, and Union State Bank. Outside of work, Christina was a devoted grandmother and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed puzzles, listening to German music, taking long walks, and tending to her rose garden. She was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith and was a communicant at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.

Funeral Mass on Friday, January 26 at 10 am at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 120 Kings Hwy, Tappan, NY 10983.
