CONSTANCE MCGRATH

January 16, 1937 to May 2, 2025

Constance (Connie) McGrath 88 died unexpectedly but peacefully on May 2, 2025 at Nyack Hospital.

Born on January 16, 1937, in New York, NY, she was the beloved daughter of Jack and Anna DiMaria. Connie graduated from high school with the Class of 1955.

It's a lovely detail that Connie and her husband, Richard, lived just three blocks away from each other as children. However, they didn't meet until after her brother came back from the Korean War with a new Navy buddy and introduced her to his new friend from the neighborhood – who turned out to be Richard. Their love story would have reached its 65th anniversary this June.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Louis (Sonny) and her sister MaryAnn DiMaria.  Surviving in addition to her husband Richard, there are their daughter Donna and her husband Brian Clark and son Richard McGrath; their four grandchildren, Matthew, Marcus, Nicole and Robert, one great grandchild Chayce along with many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will held at Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan on Sunday, May 4 from 4 to 8 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be at St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt, NY at 11am on Monday, May 5th.  Those who wish to remember Connie in a special way we ask for you to make a donation to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
