Obituary

Pearl River, NY - Tappan Location

Constantine "Dino" Kousoulas passed away peacefully the morning of January 25, 2022 one month shy of his 80th birthday.

Dino was born to Anastasios and Aspasia Kousoulas on February 26,1942 in Brooklyn, NY.

He married the love of his life, Mary Loizou, on January 31, 1965 at the Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church in Washington Heights, NY. He was a resident of Pearl River, NY, for 42 years where he and Mary raised their four children. For the past 8 years he was a resident of Suffern, NY.

Dino's passion was his family. His biggest joy was talking about his 15 grandchildren and his first great-granddaughter. He was not only a vocal cheerleader at his children's sporting events, but continued this dedication to family by attending as many of his grandchildren's sports and activities throughout the years.

Dino was blessed with a great sense of humor and a very kind heart. The first words out of his mouth when he greeted someone were, "How are you? How is your family?" He loved feeding others and making people laugh with him. He loved life.

Dino was a long-standing and devoted member of the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in West Nyack, NY. During his children's teenage years, he was a dedicated youth leader. He loved his faith.

Dino is survived by his wife, Mary, of 57 years and his daughter Stacy (John) Niemiec, son Fr. Anastasios (Presvytera Nektaria), daughter Eleni (Tony) Pallogudis, and son Gene (Joy). Also surviving are his brother, James (Robyn) and sister, Christina (Larry) along with his 15 grandchildren: John (Stacy), Nicolette, Steven, Jason, Dena, Constantine, Hayley, Panayiotis, Madison, Luke, Evan, Casey, Demetri, Sarah, and Andreas; and great-granddaughter, Olivia.

Funeral arrangements at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthrodox Church, 1 Marycrest Rd., West Nyack, NY include a public viewing at 9am on Friday, January 28, 2022 followed by the funeral service at 10am. Internment will be at Tappan Cemetery, 32 Old Tappan Rd, Tappan, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project (woundedwarriorsproject.org) or the Saints Constantine and Helen Ladies Philoptochos Society.
