Obituary

Dennis Fee, a devoted father, proud grandfather, faithful servant of God, and veteran, passed away after a long and hard-fought battle with illness. He lived a life rooted in faith, service, creativity, and love, and will be remembered for his generosity, determination, and unforgettable conversations.

Dennis was a loving father to Maggie Matos  (Chris) and Colleen Liso (Tommy), and a devoted grandfather to his three grandsons, Brody, Cole, and CJ, who were among his greatest blessings. Dennis was predeceased by his father (Dennis), mother (Ann), brother (Bernie), sister (Debra), and many dear friends and family members. He cherished his family deeply and took pride in being present, involved, and always willing to share wisdom, stories, and advice.

Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Though he rarely spoke about his time in service, his dedication and sacrifice did not go unrecognized. His service reflected a deep sense of duty, quiet courage, and commitment to something greater than himself.

After returning home, Dennis dedicated 38 years of service to Con Edison, retiring in 2005. In his retirement years, he found joy and peace at his beloved campsite in Sullivan County, a place where he made lifelong friends and many memories.

A man of many talents, Dennis was exceptionally handy and creative. He loved carpentry, fixing cars, and working with his hands—there was little he could not repair or improve. His creativity and problem-solving skills were matched only by his patience and pride in a job done well.

Dennis had a deep love for music, photography, technology, and his faith. He especially enjoyed photography, with a passion for capturing the beauty of eagles in flight. His love of music and the church stayed with him throughout his life, and he often fondly reminisced about his childhood parish, Holy Name in Manhattan, where he played the organ and strengthened the faith that would guide him for the rest of his life.

Known for his strong opinions and spirited debates, Dennis was a fighter in every sense—never afraid to speak his mind and never willing to give up. He faced his illnesses with courage, perseverance, and faith, trusting in God throughout his journey.

Dennis will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May he rest in God's eternal peace.
