Diana Jean Garland, age 73, of Dumont, New Jersey died on Monday evening, July 1st, 2024 at Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains. Born on December 20th, 1950 in Englewood to Virginia Rose (Meola) and Edward Neil Garland, she is survived by her brother Richard (Rita) Garland, of Beaufort, SC and Portsmouth, RI, a niece, Allison Kleszczewski Mullican and nephew, Gregory Garland, and two grandnieces. A graduate of Dumont High School, class of 1969, Diana was a long time employee of Scholastic Magazines and Books at their corporate office in Englewood Cliffs, followed by the Datascope Corporation and finally retiring in 2020 from the Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Co. Ltd in Mahwah. All those who knew Diana will remember her as a warm, welcoming, and caring individual with such a joyful personality that attracted many a dear friend and colleague. Remembering when her great-grandmother would call her "my sunshine"...there is no better way to describe Diana's presence and the effect she has had on us all.
