IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Diana M
Leibesberger
December 28, 1929 – September 15, 2024
Diana M Leibesberger, a Blauvelt resident of 65 years, died peacefully on September 15th, at the Joe Raso Hospice Residence in New City. She was born in Manhattan to parents Samuel and Henrietta (Eve) Mandler, she was raised in the Bronx before her family moved to Garnerville, NY and then after she married, she moved to Blauvelt.
Diana is survived by her loving family including son Neal (Liz), daughter Evon, son Wayne, daughters Sandra (Andy), and Susan (Angus), as well as her 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Hilda, her eldest son Mark, and her ex-husband Lionel H. Leibesberger.
While raising 6 children, Diana graduated from Rockland College and St Thomas Aquinas College and she was employed at Rockland Psychiatric Hospital as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for 30 yrs. She had the kindest soul and the sweetest disposition, and loved to sew, crochet, craft, bake bread, read and swim nearly every day at the Diplomat Spa in Sparkill. Diana was a member of the Kingdom Hall in Nanuet and enjoyed her weekly bible studies and meetings. Diana also loved our weekly Sunday family (and sometimes friends too) brunch at her house where she had the opportunity to catch up with all of her family activities. Her sincere smile and warmth will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to United Hospice (unitedhospiceinc.org) Joe Raso Hospice Residence, the Blauvelt Free Library or Blauvelt Volunteer Fire Company.
