IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eleanor
Leimgruber
August 24, 2024
Eleanor ("Ellie") Leimgruber (nee Wilhelm), Age 86, of Demarest, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 24th, 2024.Born in the Bronx, NY, she attended and graduated Walton High School and then worked days and studied nights at New York University until 1972 when she and her husband Max launched Leimtex Corp., the textile import business they built together over the next 24 years. Eleanor committed her life to Jesus in 1963 andserved Him faithfully, always ready with open arms, a kind word, a listening ear, a soft shoulder, and a heart of compassion for anyone who needed it. Eleanor is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Max, who cared for her lovingly at home as she battled rheumatoid arthritis and an increasing number of medical challenges over the last decade. She is also survived by her daughter Michele of Littleton, Colorado, as well as her sister-in-law Nancy, her niece Laura and nephew Dan and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents Otto and Lina Wilhelm, and her brother Guenther. Eleanor was a loving wife and mother and a devoted friend to many who often sought and received words of comfort and encouragement. She will be sorely missed but werejoice that she has gone to her heavenly home and is no longer in physical pain. As for us who are left behind, we are truly saddened by our loss but are comforted by the passage below which promises that we will be with each other in Eternity.
[For we do] not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.
(1 Thess. 4:13-14)
