On Sunday, November 3, 2024 Frank, 94, the patriarch of our family, passed away peacefully at Pascack Valley Hospital with family by his side.

He was born to Nicholas and Susan Valentino (née Kuplin) on February 26, 1930 in Manhattan, NY.

Frank married the first love of his life, Maryann (née Ricci) in 1955 and was married for thirty-seven years until her passing in 1992. Together, they had two children, Frank and Irene. Years later he met and married the second love of his life, Rita (née Renta). They were married twenty-five years upon his passing, and resided in Orangeburg, NY.

Frank retired from the New York Sanitation Department in 1979, later owning and operating the R&D Deli on Western Highway in Blauvelt with his family for more than a decade. The final leg of his career was spent working for Miele Auto Parts in Pearl River for twenty-five years.

Frank's favorite place to be was Wildwood Crest, NJ where he spent four decades vacationing with his family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren . The Valentino's were well known at the Pan American Hotel, and he loved it.

He is survived by his wife Rita and his children, Frank (Janice) Valentino of Myrtle Beach, SC and Irene Spiegelberg of Pomona, NY. Grandchildren, Nicholas (Ashley) Valentino and Joseph Valentino, both of Myrtle Beach SC and Christine (Joseph) Toomey of Greenwood Lake, NY. Danielle Spiegelberg and her partner Joseph Ramirez-Appuzo and Fred Spiegelberg of Pomona, NY.  Great-grandchildren, Viviana, Jonathan & Nicholas Valentino, Luke, Christopher and Autumn Toomey and Willow Ramirez-Appuzo. He is also survived by Rita's daughters Claire (Matthew) Wilbekin of Dobbs Ferry, NY, Regina (Sami) Gashi of the Bronx, NY and their children Mia and Layla Wilbekin and Bella Gashi.

A wake will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan, NY. Visitation from 4 pm - 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be Friday, November 8, 2024 at 10 am at St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt, NY.  Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill, NY.
