Gerald Joseph Ryan, 68, from the Bronx, but a long time resident of Blauvelt, New York passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024.

Gerald is survived by his Brother, John Ryan (Robin) his Sister Eileen Ryan and his Nieces Colleen Rourke (Ryan) and Margaret Ryan and also, his Stepdaughter, Bridget Eggers (John) from California.  He is predeceased by his beloved Wife, Claire, his Mother, Frances, his Father, Joseph and his Brother, Joseph Jr.

Gerald served in the U.S. Navy from 1975 – 1985 and then became a Patrolman with the Ramapo Police department, in which he "served and protected" for 18 1/2 years, until his retirement.  Gerald was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Blauvelt, NY.

Anyone who knew Gerald "Jerry", knew that he loved his NASCAR and would take yearly trips to Florida for the Daytona 500 and Alabama for the Talladega Race. He was an avid Yankees and Giants Football fan as well. He also enjoyed spending time at his camper in upstate New York.

Viewing is at Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan, NY on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 4pm – 7pm.  A prayer service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Moritz Funeral Home at 11am, followed by a burial at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery 220 Brick Church Road, New Hempstead, NY.
