Helen C. Pulos, age 87, passed away on April 30, 2024. She was born on September 4, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY to Steve and Anastasia Komondorea. She was a member of the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in West Nyack, NY for nearly 60 years. Helen was predeceased by her husband James and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Georgia Lipane and Stacey Fellas (John), cherished grandchildren Joshua Lipane, Alexander Fellas and Stephanie Fellas and beloved brother Steven Komondoreas (Flair) in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

Family was everything to Helen.  It gave her great joy to be among friends and family.  Whether you saw her last week or last year, she greeted you the same way with a big smile and a hug and sometimes a hearty laugh.  She was dedicated to her Church, Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church of West Nyack, where she was a member for nearly 60 years.  She served as the Church secretary in the 70's and was involved in the first Greek Festival of the Church in 1972, which continues to this day.

Helen enjoyed socializing with different groups of friends, from the monthly luncheons with the Red Hatters, weekly games of Mahjong, Philoptochos (the Church's philanthropic ladies' organization) and occasional lunches with retired coworkers.

May her memory be eternal.

Visiting hours will be Monday, May 6, 2024, from 4-8 pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan, NY.  A Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 7th, 10 am at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in West Nyack.  The burial will be held at Tappan Cemetery in Tappan, NY. In lieu of flowers donations in Helen's name may be made to Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1 Marycrest Road, West Nyack, NY 10994 or People to People of Rockland County, Nanuet, NY.
