Joan was born on March 28, 1945 in the Bronx, New York where she lived most of her life until 1986 when she moved to Valley Cottage, New York. Joan was always willing to take others into her home, sharing it as a place to rest or have a warm and loving holiday meal. Professionally she was a bookkeeper, but essentially was a do all office person for Dixie Ventilation and Linaire Sheet Metal companies for over 40 years.

Joan is survived by her son and his wife Marc and Joanna Brea, her three grandchildren, her son David Delgado, and her nieces Tiffany and Shani Smolick. She was predeceased by her husband Maurice Brea, sister Sharon Smolick, brother Richard Smolick, and brother Gilbert Smolick. Visitation will be held at Moritz Funeral Home at 98 Route 303, Tappan, NY from 2 pm to 5 pm on Saturday December 3, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 3pm.
