Kevin Joseph Morrison, beloved husband, father, grandfather, retired NYPD officer, and devoted family man, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on January 16, 1956, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Yonkers, New York, to the late James and Alice Morrison.
Kevin proudly served the people of New York City as a member of the New York City Police Department for more than 20 years. Half of his distinguished career was spent with Emergency Service Unit Truck 3 (ESU Truck 3), where he served with courage, dedication, and honor. His commitment to protecting others earned him the respect and admiration of his fellow officers and all who knew him.
Beyond his career, Kevin embraced life outdoors. He was an avid hunter and camper who found peace in nature and joy in sharing those experiences with family and friends. Above all else, Kevin was a devoted family man. His greatest pride was the life he built with his beloved wife, Maureen, with whom he shared more than 45 wonderful years of marriage. Their love and partnership were the foundation of a close-knit family that meant everything to him.
Kevin was predeceased by his parents, James and Alice Morrison(nee Gumbs), and his brother, James Morrison.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Maureen Morrison; his daughter, Nicole, her husband Stephen Bullis and their children James Kevin, a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps; Alyssa and Alana; his son Daniel, his wife Margaret and their daughter Lainey; son Matthew and his children Jax and Sienna; and son Andrew and his partner Eric. Kevin also leaves behind siblings Karen and Charles Holmes, Mary and William Paolino, Paul and Barbara Morrison, and Alice Kennelly as well as countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and former colleagues, all of whom will forever cherish his memory.
Kevin's strength, kindness, unwavering dedication to his family, and sense of duty touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will live on through the values he instilled in his children and grandchildren, the friendships he cultivated, and the countless lives he impacted through his service.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
