Laura Josephine Kopac, 58, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2022 with her mother, cousins, dear friends, and throngs from The Arc Rockland by her side. Laura was born at Nyack Hospital on November 15, 1963 to devoted and dedicated parents Joseph and Margaret Kopac. A long-time resident of The Arc Rockland, Laura spent her days surrounded by a unique love and care only angels can provide.

Laura is survived by her mother Margaret ('Peggy') Kopac; sister Alexandra ('Sandy') Langdon-Kaufman (Alan) of Henderson, NC; brother-in-law Edward Langdon (Tracy), of Max Meadows, VA; nephews Joshua Langdon (Jessica) of Flagstaff, AZ and Matthew Langdon (Jennifer) of Arden, NC; grand nephew Levi Langdon, and grand nieces Cody Langdon and Lily Langdon. Laura is also survived by a large extended family including cousins Peter, Dinorah, Josefina, and Michael D'Auria. Moreover, Laura is survived by an expansive Arc Rockland family that she loved so very much.

Laura was predeceased by her dear and loving father, Joseph. She missed him every day.

Laura's smile was like sunshine. Too smart to ever be fooled or tricked, Laura kept everyone on their toes, and everyone loved her for it. Laura made our lives richer, our selves better, and showed us what really matters. Laura will be remembered, loved, and cherished for the rest of our days.

A Memorial Mass will be said Saturday, October 15, 2022, 10:00 am, at St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt, NY, followed by interment at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill, NY.
