Louisa A. Matera, raised in Orangeburg, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Northern Riverview Healthcare Center in Haverstraw, NY.She was born October 7, 1964 to Ferdinand and Catherine (Perniciaro) in Passaic, New Jersey.Louisa graduated from Tappan Zee High School in 1982.Louisa loved art and playing the piano.
Louisa is survived by her siblings Catherine Leote (Jay) and James Matera, and her nieces: Jamie, Tyler, Emily, Julia, and Sophia.
A viewing will be held at Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan, NY on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 10 -11:30am followed by a Mass at St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt, NY beginning at Noon. A burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet, NY.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) at https://nami.org/Home.
