Marie Muriello (née Grzetich), long-time resident of Orangeburg, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 6 at the age of 88. The daughter of John and Mila Grzetich, Marie was born on April 20, 1936 in New York, NY.

She was the older sister to Mildred (who predeceased Marie) and together they were raised in the Bronx, NY, where she graduated from Evander High School. After graduating high school, Marie embarked on a career in the New York City advertising world of the 1950's. It was during these exciting days when she met her beloved husband, Peter, and they married in 1957. Wife and husband for nearly 63 years, they had three children, by whom she is survived - Mark, Mary Anne and Peter (Jeanne Marie Mirabella), her grandchildren Samuel, Joshua (Elizabeth) and Rosemarie, her three nieces, two nephews, and many grand nieces and nephews.

Marie was devoted to her family - daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and grandmother. She nurtured strong family ties across the generations, with her bountiful love and a bountiful table. She poured her energy into the hearts and minds of her children, inspiring them with her own work ethic and supporting them in every endeavor.

Always eager to make a difference, Marie worked in the school system for several years. Marie found tremendous fulfillment, serving the community and making life-long friends across her 37-year career at the Pearl River Public Library.

For those wishing to honor Marie's life, you can make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital . A visitation will be held at Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan on Monday, 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10am at St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt, NY.
