Marion J. Plunkett, a longtime resident of Orangeburg, NY (recently of Frankford Township, NJ) passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the age of 98.

Marion is the daughter of Joseph Stephen Plunkett and Mary Elizabeth (Delaney) Plunkett. She was born in Manhattan where she resided for many years.

Marion's life passion was her Faith. She was a devout parishoner at St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt, NY, where she attended daily Mass.  Marion was a CCD teacher for over 50 years, preparing countless children for First Holy Communion and Reconciliation. She was a member of the Rosary  Group and a Eucharistic Minister for the sick and homebound for many years. Marion (along with her sister Anna) ran Lenten Soup and Supper. Marion was recognized as Woman of the Year at St. Catharine's Church.

Marion  was employed at Texaco, Inc. for nearly 50 years as a secretary.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Stephen (1935) and Mary Elizabeth (Delaney) Plunkett (1973); two brothers, James Christopher Plunkett (1920) and Joseph Russell Plunkett (1995); two sisters, Anna Theresa (Plunkett) Fee (2019) and Patricia Dolores (Plunkett) Ryan (2012); her niece Debra A. (Fee) Pappas (2022) and great nephew Kevin Ryan Herrmann (2018).

She is survived by 13 nieces and nephews; 30 great nieces and nephews; 20 great great nieces and nephews.

Marion was loved dearly by all who knew her and will be missed tremendously.
