Mary 'Mae' Maguire, 89, of Blauvelt, NY passed away peacefully on January 7, 2023. Mary was born on May 8, 1933, in Knockroosk, County Leitrim, Ireland to Charles and Bridget Heeran. She married the love of her life John P. Maguire and together they raised their family. Mary worked at the Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg, NY.

Mary is survived by her husband and four children, John Maguire, Moira Maguire Quinn, Desmond Maguire, Bernadette Maguire Dell'Accio; and eight grandchildren, Catie, Daniel, Jack, Brendan, Kelly, Owen, Olivia, and Grace. Mary is survived by her siblings Rose Strzyzewski, Chris Kelleher, Dymphna Muir, also devoted mother-in-law to Cathy Maguire, PJ Quinn, and David Dell'Accio. She was predeceased by her twin brother Peter Heeran and parents Charles and Bridget Heeran.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 11th, 11am at St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 10th, 4-8pm at Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society ( www.lls.org ).
