Obituary

Our hearts are broken to share the passing of our beloved Michael Keith Barber. He was an amazing son, brother, husband and father. Michael is survived by his wife Maya Barber, and by his children, Layla Paige, Brooklyn Sophia, and Emmett Keith. He is also survived by his parents, Keith and Karen Barber, and his sisters Jennifer Davis (Daniel), Bethany Wienholz (Brian), and Rebekah Aldridge (Aaron). Michael is survived also by his mother-in-law, Zehava and father-in-law Zeev, as well as brother-in-law, Jarden, and sister-in-law Livi (Juan). He is survived by 13 nieces and nephews.

Michael was brilliant - a light in the world and steady, constant presence of peace. He loved Jesus. He was the best son, and the best little brother. He was his wife’s king and she absolutely and fiercely adores him. He was an amazing father and friend. He was an adventurer, a tin-knocker, a welder, an avid rider, connoisseur of music, a handy man, a philosopher. Most people didn’t know it, but he had the most beautiful singing voice. He could literally do anything he set his mind to. Michael was a fierce protector.

His life was not easy, but he used his experiences to help countless people and has left a lasting imprint on the lives of those who love him. We are all crushed by this unimaginable loss. We thank God endlessly for the 44 years that we had with him. We cling to the hope and faith that we will see him again.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Michael's GoFundMe.
