Obituary

Olivia Delinickos Christopulos, a longtime resident of Closter, NJ, passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 88.

A beloved Mom, Yiayia, and Aunt, Olivia will always be remembered for her kindness, remarkable strength and resilience, and her compassion for others.

Olivia is survived by her loving children: daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Robert Connolly; son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Stacy Christopulos; and son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Kelly Christopulos. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Alyssa, Victoria, and Nicholas Christopulos, and Bobby and James Connolly.

To say Olivia was proud of her children and grandchildren would be an understatement. She also leaves behind eight nieces and nephews and their families, whom she adored.

Olivia is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Pantelis and Sotiria, her twin sister, Aspacia (Pat) Kantzos, Bessie Soultanis, and Athena Cambs, as well as her brothers-in-law, Pericles Cambs, John Soultanis and Ted Kantzos.

Olivia was born in Astoria, NY, on August 12, 1936, to Sotiria and Pantelis Delinickos. She loved Astoria, her Greek Orthodox Church, St. Demetrios, and the lifelong choir friends she made there.

After high school in Astoria, Oliva worked in Manhattan at the Marubeni Import and Export Company as a secretary. Years later, after moving to Closter, she worked at the Northern Valley Regional High School Board of Education.

Friends and family are invited to the calling hours on Friday, May 2nd, from 4pm-8pm at Moritz Funeral Home, 98 NY-303 South, Tappan, NY.

The funeral service to celebrate Olivia's life will take place on Saturday, May 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in West Nyack, NY, with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, 201 Kings Hwy, Sparkill, NY.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , a charity our mother always supported.

May her memory be eternal.

As our mom always said to us, "Enjoy your life."
