Obituary

Patricia Marie Quirk, a resident of Orangeburg for over 50 years, and later of Armonk, NY, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2023. Pat was born in New York, NY on August 7, 1931. She graduated from the School of Industrial Art in Manhattan in 1949. She met her husband of 58 years, Raymond George Quirk, while working at Conde Nast publishers.

After time off to have their three children, Pat went back to work at the US Postal Service, where she rose through the ranks to become Postmaster of her hometown Post Office in Orangeburg. She retired in 2006 after 39 years of service. She was a parishioner of St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Maripat Alpuche and Maripat's husband Douglas; and her grandchildren, Allison Quirk, and Dominique and Douglas Alpuche, Jr. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond, and her children Annemarie and Edward.

A Funeral Mass will be Saturday, February 25, 9:45am, at St. Catharine's Church with burial to follow at St. Catharine's Cemetery, both in Blauvelt. Visiting hours will be on Friday, February 24, 5pm to 8pm, at Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan.
