December 8, 1950 – October 21, 2024
Peter M. Euler, age 73, passed after a short battle with cancer at the McLeod Hospice Center in Florence South Carolina.
Peter was born and lived most his life in the New York area.
Peter was a Veteran that served from 1970-1976 in the United States Military Army Forces. His work career included repairing typewriters, a skill he acquired during his time as a clerk in the Army. Worked as Administrative Assistant with the Reformed Church of America, and most recently retired from the New York State County Highway Department of Rockland.
Peter was married to the love of his life Jean E. Hiemstra on July 1, 1993, in Clarkstown New York. He retired to Little River, South Carolina following the death of his beloved wife, Jean.
Peter's hobbies included fishing, playing darts, watching sports, trips to Atlantic City, NJ, golfing and enjoyed music, playing numerous musical instruments. Peter was a supporter of organ donations and after his passing, shared a gift to the Miracles in Sight Foundation.
Peter is survived by his brothers; Rich and David Euler. Parent-in-laws, Rev. John and Norma Hiemstra. Sibling-in-laws' Ruth Schaefer Gosdick, Paul Gosdick, Nancy and Peter Cook. His Aunt Margie Sexton, cousins; Kathy and Patrick Narciso, Carol and Leo Punt, Peggy and Joe Englese, Ellen Young, and many loved nieces and nephews.
Peter is preceded in death by his parents, Eileen (Roth) and John Peter Euler, his younger brother Stephen Euler, sister-in-law Joanne (Oleszek) Euler and Carol Hiemstra Snook and his wife Jean E. Hiemstra Euler.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, with visitation from 11am - 12:00pm followed by a service and flag presentation.
Peter will find his final resting place next to his beloved wife Jean at the Neshanic Station Cemetery, in New Jersey.
