Peter Marzec, 82, passed away peacefully, at home, on Saturday July 22, 2023. He was born in the Bronx to Mary Morena and Peter Marzec on March 5, 1941. He is predeceased by his only sister, Carol Zinter.

He was a life long learner. Pete graduated Manhattan School of Printing at 16 years old. He went on to receive his Bachelors Degree from Baruch College. He later received his Masters in Labor Relations from Cornell University. Pete was able to achieve all of this while working full time and raising a family.

Pete was a proud member of Plumbers Local #2. He was an apprentice, journeyman, instructor, Business Manager and UA Special Representative for training. After retiring from the UA he went back to work as a plumbing inspector for White Plains and Mount Vernon. As much as he loved his profession, he loved his family the most. Peter married his high school sweetheart, Rosalie Pipolo, on September 18, 1965. They would have celebrated their 58th anniversary shortly.

He is survived by his four children, Peter (Norine), Michael (Georgeann), Rosalie (Josh) and John (Lesley). He loved his seven grandchildren, Dominic, Dylan, Josh, Grace, Wyatt, Georgia, and Trevor. As a father and grandfather he was always there with good sound advice, attended every activity and sporting event, helped build or fix anything and everything. Pete loved to do crossword puzzles (in ink) and was an avid reader. He built and raced his own dragster. You could always count on him for being the first in line for food or a good buffet. As a friend and neighbor he was always there to lend a helping hand no matter how big or small the project. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 25th, 5:45pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan. Visiting hours will be 3 - 7pm on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter's memory made be made to the Parkinson' Foundation .
