Richard E. Casey, 62, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 2,  2024.  Richard was born January 18, 1962 in New York, NY.  He was a long time resident of Tappan and a graduate of Pearl River High School and Saint Thomas Aquinas College.  Rich had a long career as a Senior Systems Analyst with Verizon Wireless.  He was a long time 4th Degree member of the St. Dominics Council, Knights of Columbus, Blauvelt.  Rich was an avid golfer with a 40 year standing Saturday morning tee-time with beloved friends at Blue Hill Golf Course.  He was a lifelong Yankee fan.  Rich was survived by his loving wife of 32 years Lynn (nee Larson), daughter Shannon, son Eric, brother Edward (Michelle), sisters Marguerite (Brian), Patricia, brother-in-law Carl-Eric (Madeline), sister-in-law Lisa (Jimmy) and nieces and nephews Katrina, Erin, Nils, Sean, Emily, Brian, Meghan, Daniel, great-nephews Matthew and Nicholas and numerous cousins.  Rich will be missed by many great friends, especially Andrew and Jimmy. He was predeceased by his loving mother, Mary Casey, and nieces Jacqueline and Kelsey.

A Funeral mass will be held Monday, April 8th, 11am at St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 7th from 3pm-7pm at Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan.

Richard has requested in lieu of flowers a donation be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Foundation .
