Richard Robert Keiser, 76, of Roscoe, New York, passed away on May 13, 2026. Richard was born August 30, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Ellsworth Keiser and Anna Miraglia. Richard graduated from Tappan Zee High School in 1967, then went on to Rockland Community College. Richard joined the Army, 101st Airborne, and served in the Vietnam War until honorably discharged. Richard married Dorothy [Weber] on March 31, 1973. Richard worked as a police officer and detective at Orangetown Police Department. Richard was highly involved in the American Legion. He was New York State Commander from 1999-2000. Richard was active in the Catholic Church. He was also an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, and hunter. Richard is survived by spouse, Dorothy; children, Samantha [Branden] and Allison; grandchildren, Olivia and Jackson. Preceding Richard in death are father, Ellsworth; mother, Anna; brother, Charles. Visitation will be held Monday, May 18, 2026 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church.
