Richard Ryan, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March10, 2023. Richie, a resident of Tappan, NY, was born in the Bronx on August 2, 1938 to Michael and Jeanette Ryan. He served in the US Army Reserves. He retired from the MTA. Richie was a member of the Tappan Senior Club and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church. He enjoyed gardening and swimming.

Richie is survived by his beloved wife of over 60 years, Carolyn. Loving father of Janice Martini and her husband John, Debra Stemmerman and her husband John and Robert Ryan. Dear brother of Michael and Jeanette. Proud grandfather of Amanda, Alison, Riley, Colin and Logan.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, March 17th, 10am at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Tappan with burial to follow at Tappan Cemetery. Visiting hours will Thursday, 3-7pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan. Donation to the United Hospice in Richie's name would be greatly appreciated.
