Palisades, NY - Tappan Location
Robert E. Weigel of Palisades, NY, died peacefully on December 8, 2021 at the age of 97. A WWII Army Air Corps veteran, Bob, as all called him, graduated from Rutgers University on the GI Bill. He was married to Margaret Harrison for 32 years. Margaret predeceased him in 1990.
Bob's career as a computer salesman spanned the beginning decades of the computer age. He started his career selling adding machines and ended his career as president of a company that sold Apple computers.
Bob loved people and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the Palisades Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years and greatly enjoyed the company of his fellow veterans at the American Legion John M. Perry Post in Sparkill. Bob loved to play golf and tennis and enjoyed traveling and the company of his dear friend Adeline Esposito of Tappan.
He is survived by his four children Robert L. Weigel (Terry), Pamela Brennan (Bill), Dr. Tracey Weigel and Jan Weigel and his five grandchildren Alexander (Wenbo) and Harrison Weigel and Nicole, Mackenzie and Katie Brennan.
A graveside service will be held at the Thursday, December 23, 11:30am at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Palisades Presbyterian Church (https://palpresny.org) or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org).
