Ryan Peter Mott ("Motty") 44 years young, passed away on April 15th. A resident of East Hampton and formerly of Closter, N.J.
Ryan is the son of the late Peter Mott. He is survived by his mom, Gail Gardeski O'Neill, his sisters Allison and Jennifer O'Neill and his stepfather Tim O'Neill. He was the beloved nephew and cousin of many Gardeski's, Mott's and O'Neill's and will be terribly missed by all.
Ryan had a heart that was bigger than the grand canyon and a personality that was larger than life. He had a kind, generous spirit and lit up a room with his wit, his intellect, his irreverence and (often) twisted sense of humor. He fiercely loved his family, his friends (and partners in crime – you know who you are!), the Devil's, Yanks, Giants and fishing off a beach, a sandbar, a boat – anyplace that he could make a cast.
Motty's legacy is one of kindness, loyalty, humor and love. We will mourn his loss forever.
