Sara Lacey Zawalick, beloved daughter and sister, passed away on Friday April 4, 2025. She was 30 years old.

Sara was born on November 1, 1994 in New York City to Christine Keywork-Zawalick and Matthew Zawalick. She graduated from Tappan Zee High School in 2013 and New York University in 2018 with a degree in Applied Psychology. Sara then spent several years volunteering with AmeriCorps in the CityYear program, working with underprivileged children. Sara's joy in working with these children was apparent to all who knew her. The affection and compassion she had for her students was returned tenfold.

With a smart sense of humor and a quick smile, Sara brought much love and happiness to her family. She was predeceased by three of the people she most loved in her life, Nanny and Poppa Keywork and Grandma Zawalick, as well as her loving Uncle Steve Zawalick. She is survived by her mother Christine, her father Matt, her sister Sophia, ten aunts and uncles and many loving cousins and friends.

A wake will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan, NY.

There will be a blessing and burial at 11am at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa, NJ where family and friends are kindly invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Sara's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital .
