Thomas W. Pflugbeil, 78, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025. He was born on January 1, 1947 in Cornwall, NY to the late Ruth Kent and Frederick Pflugbeil.

Tom graduated from Pine Bush High School, Pine Bush, NY and later received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the SUNY at Oneonta in 1969. He also attended the SUNY at New Paltz and received his Master's Degree.

He is survived by his family, Andrew Pflugbeil (Sasha), Kathy Pflugbeil, his grandson Luca, his sister JoAnn and many nieces and nephews.

Tom was known for his friendly, warm smile and infectious laugh. He spent his career as a Middle School English Teacher in the SOCSD. Tom retired in 2002. Outside of the classroom, he had a deep love for traveling, reading, long days at the beach. He was always ready to have a good time with good company. His warmth and humor left a lasting impression on all who knew him, and his enthusiasm for life inspired those fortunate enough to call him a friend.
